Jayaque

Jayaque or “Hill of the Masks” in Nahuatl is a settlement since 1865 in the Balsam Mountain Range. It is a town that still preserves old edifications made of tin sheets and wood, and is located between hills and mountains. The panoramic views of different greens, surrounds the town with coffee plantations. The settlers maintain alive their traditions and are reminded year after year during the town festivities, but “El Baile del Puro” & “La Topa de Los Cumpas” (The Dance of the Cigar & The Gettogether of the Buddies) are represented for our groups by the brotherhood that takes care of the saints.
