Metapan.

The precolombian city of Metapán has a Maya-Chorti origin. Its name means Maguey River and is famous for having a very beautiful colonial church that still maintains catacombs.
In El Salvador, Metapán is known as White City for its high production of lime.
The city lays on the shores of Metapan Lake, that tributes from Lake Guija where ancestral vestiges are found. They possess a cloud forest, unique in these lands. It is Montecristo National Park, a natural reservoir and home of many endangered species. "El Trifinio" is also found in this zone is the only place in the world where anyone can be standing in three countries at the same time (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras).
