| The Peace Trail. The Peach Trail, include the towns of Perquin, Arambala, Villa El Rosario, Jocoateca, Corinto and Cacaopera. It´s call the Peace Trail for the current period of time that the inhabitants are enjoying now after 12 years of civil war. Here, you can enjoy a true natural paradise and know the history and culture of our ancestors, their indigenous traditions, live nature, non smog air and crystal clear springs that flow from rivers, streams and waterfalls. It is a lovely place to discover and penetrated into an unforgettable adventure. Their ancestors are Lencas tribes. In Lenca language Perquin means "Trail of Hot Charcoal" or "Way of the Charcoals” because for a long time the Indians used the pedernal to make fire. < Back |
